Midnight Wind (go back »)

July 6 2007, 5:07 PM

That ice cold silence; piercing stillness that most find nervewracking, and somewhat disturbing...I find it calming and envigorating. I could stand in the middle of a vacant street, arms outstreched, cool wind blowing across my face for hours...just taking in the silvery silence.

Nothing but headlights could distract me from my trance, nothing more than two eyes on the front of a car could break the strong hold of the darkness. With my eyes closed, nothing but the wind and the tiny sounds of midnight are noticeable.

A train in the distance breaks through my lack of thoughts long enough to take me back to my younger years. Times when being naive wasn't possible, because we were all king of the world, when boys had cooties (unless they had extra cookies), and you went to school to play and learn what 1+1 is. I really miss that time, why a train can bring me back, I don't remember, but its sad that to be carefree like that child I once knew or was, I must stand in the wind at midnight.

Yeah...this is not my best work, but it's a start to my blog. This is from a couple months ago, and I wanted some input.
